My first attribute would be my ability to consistently be a knock down shooter. I can create a 3 pointer, Mid Range or an Inside floater during almost any situation. I spent years working on my form, I wake up summer mornings and work on my weakness until they became strengths.
My Second attribute would be my defense I aim to be equally effective on defense as I am on offense. With the ball or without there is work to be done as my Dad says "Son win the moment!". That's why my teammates call me Kawhi Leonard.
My Third attribute would be my basketball IQ I love this game. I am not a fan I am a student of the game. I break down everything I see. I look at a 2-3, 3-2 or a 1-3-1 zone and study where the advantages and disadvantages are. I watch team and player tendencies I look for ways that I can have the upper hand.
I am a very coach able player, I look to my coaches for feedback on how I can improve my game no matter how hard they are on me.
My mental game does not get fazed when I am having a bad offensive performance, I keep pushing through my playing hard defense and making the right play on offense.
I am not scared to guard all five positions no matter how big the opponent, I take pride in defense and will do whatever it takes for the team to succeed.
My high school experience so far has been the best thing that has happened to me. Being able to play for such great programs (AA Huron & AA Pioneer) has taught me so much and has developed my game to new and higher levels. Nothing has come easy for me though, I have had to put tons work in too get to the point I want to be. My goals for my last high school season is to raise my points per game average to 18 or higher, win our district title (deep playoff run), develop a smoother and tighter handle, and last but not least I want to be able to earn the opportunity to play at the next level.
Playing at the next level of basketball has been a dream of mine ever since I could remember. My love for the game is strong and I have the work ethic to prove it, I could not imagine being done playing basketball after high school. All the work I put in is not to keep me busy but to advance my game to levels I know I can reach. I am looking for an opportunity at any collegiate level to play basketball and give it a 110% and more. I am certain as I work on my game I can come in and make an impact to fill the void the outstanding upperclassmen left and be willing to work with the other players to continue the success or rebuilding of the program.
