Jackson Northwest 2019 G Sydney Shafer received an offer on Sunday afternoon from Rutgers University.

The 5'9 Guard a week earlier helped lead Northwest to the Class B State Championship game, where they lost to Country Day.

As a junior in 2017 Shafer averaged 17 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 4.0 apg, 4.0 spg.

Shafer finished with 22 points and 8 rebounds in the state championship game.

Shafer also holds an offer from MAC program, Western Michigan.
