4 seasons of high school football
Wayne State University, Saginaw Valley, Grand Valley State University, Bowling Green University.
For a player, tunnel vision comes to everyone to a certain degree. For me, I don't seem to get that feeling. I complete my task and do it well. In a game, there are always new things to learn and I am continuing my study of myself and the opponent in the film room.
I believe technique is everything. I learned that my mind is more powerful than my body. I do not declare myself as a hard hitter. I use technique to simply walk past my opponent. I've learned that the most powerful resource a player can have is their coaches. Coaches have the most wisdom of the game and they know what I need to do and when I need to do it. So, I always complete the tasks given to me knowing that it's what is best for the team.
I take my high school football career as a learning experience. A stepping stone to the next level, Which I plan to attend. My goals are to improve myself in the weight room. I want to be stronger and faster. My plans are to become a better leader for the team. I have accomplished a lot in my football career. I always help my teammates as without them I would be nothing.
I have been planning on playing at the next level. Playing at the next level will give me the opportunity to improve my skill. My family means so much to me and they continue to provide support through any decision I make. I wouldn't be who I am today without them. My mother told me, "if you don't play college football, it could be the biggest missed opportunity of your life." I truly took that to heart. I also have a fantastic coaching crew. The support from my coaches is unbelievable.
I have been awarded the defensive lineman of the year award (2018) and the OAA blue division award (2018).
