Prospects Recap from Madison Heights vs. Center Line (Story)
Marshall baseball commit Austin Brown threw for 1 touchdown and rushed for 2 touchdowns in a half of action as Madison won comfortably 60-6. 2019 RB Khyron Franklin had 3 rushing touchdowns as well for the Eagles. Center Line 2019 DE/TE Davon Sears had the lone TD for Center Line with a blocked punt return.
We'll break down their performances below:
Madison Heights:
2019 QB Austin Brown did not disappoint in his first game of his senior season as he's bulked up since we seen him last in May. Brown scored 2 touchdowns on the ground and 1 through the air. The dual-threat QB is one of the best QB's in the Midwest despite being committed to Marshall for baseball still!
2019 RB Khyron Franklin went off on Saturday with 12 carries for 103 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Eagles speedster was tough to stop, especially once he hit the corner.
2019 DE/OLB Chauncey Ernest is a 6' 235 hard-nosed presence on the field for the Eagles who plays on both sides of the ball. Ernest should draw looks from Division II, Division III and NAIA programs.
Center Line:
2019 DE/TE Davon Sears is a 6'3 265 lbs prospect who was the top player for the Panthers on Saturday. Sears had a blocked punt which he returned for a touchdown and also had a forced fumble that was called back due to a penalty in the 2nd quarter.
2019 DL George Talley III is a 6'3 230 lbs pass rusher who showed some nice glimpses on Saturday, but was very reliable for the most part as a blocking TE.
