Canton demolishes Wayne Memorial on the road (Recap + video)
There wasn't much excitement in the gym with Canton and Wayne Memorial surprising in the pre-game and it sure didn't carry into the game as Canton picked up steam and ran away easily from the host Wayne Memorial.
It was a battle of two top 10 programs in the state and that brought out all of the statewide media entities, Canton won by the score of 71-44.
Canton's 6'6" Chase Meredith was fantastic early and often for the Chiefs as he finished with 19 points and 14 boards. Meredith did a little bit of everything from dominating under the rim and scoring easily and shooting too. Meredith had a buzzer beating 3 pointer before the 1st quarter ended.
Guards B.Arts White was great moving the ball and had a few baskets while Vinson Simon had a good game up until the 2nd half where he blew up, at one point scoring 5-6 straight baskets to make the game out of reach.
