Davion Williams is going to play football in college. That doesn't mean he can't enjoy his final Senior year moments. He certainly is enjoying it.

After a 1-3 start to the season there was some question where this season was headed and that's when Williams along with the five other seniors decided it was time to live up to the hype. That brings us to Tuesday night where Belleville ranked 16th winners of six of their last seven games headed to Romulus who was 8-1 and winners of five straight in a battle for first place in The Western Wayne Athletic Conference.

The first quarter was a balanced attack for the Tigers as all five starters got into the scorebook led by Williams with six. Romulus was led by Jerome Bivins with five points as Belleville led 18-11 after one.

The second quarter was all Gabe Brown the 6'9 Michigan State commit heated up knocking down three three's in the quarter and gave the Tigers a 34-26 halftime lead.

The second half started how the first one ended. Gabe Brown. Brown went on to knock down two more three's in the quarter although Romulus started to make a comeback and closed the lead thanks to a nine point quarter performance from Jerome Bivins. Tigers led 52-46 after three.

By the fourth Belleville closed out a very fast-paced game with Williams and fellow senior 6th man point guard Cameron Smiley sealing it getting to the basket and finishing. The two combined for 12 of the teams 17 fourth quarter points as the Tigers pulled out a 69-59 victory over conference rival Romulus.

Belleville was led by Brown with 28 points, Williams with 19, and Smiley with 8. Romulus was led by Randy Frison III with 18, Bivins with 15.

Belleville has now won 7-of-8 and their record stands at 8-4 (4-0) while Romulus dropped just their second game of the season and fall to 8-2 (3-1).

Belleville returns to action Friday when they host Crestwood (3-7). Romulus also plays Friday as they travel to Fordson (7-6).
